Yin Yu Tang, a late Qing dynasty merchants' house, was originally located in southeastern China. Re-erected at the Peabody Essex Museum, we invite you to explore the house and discover this rare example of the region's renowned architecture and to learn about the daily life of the Huang family, who lived in Yin Yu Tang for over 200 years.
Timed tickets for self-guided half-hour visits are required to visit Yin Yu Tang. Tickets for Yin Yu Tang must be purchased with museum admission and are not available separately. Tickets and general admission are free for museum members and children under 17. Anyone with complimentary passes for the museum or library passes can not purchase Yin Yu Tang tickets online; tickets must be purchased at the door on the day of your visit.
